Dear College of Education team,

As we close out the semester, I want to take a moment to thank you for all that we have accomplished together.

This past weekend, I had the privilege of attending commencement for the first time as your dean. It was truly inspiring to witness our students crossing the stage, marking the culmination of their hard work and perseverance. Sharing in their joy and success reminded me of the profound impact we all have on their lives and futures.

This semester has been especially meaningful for me as my first at the COE. I am thrilled to have met so many of you and to have learned about the amazing programs and initiatives we offer. Your dedication and creativity are what make this community so vibrant and strong, and I am grateful for the warm welcome you have extended.

Looking ahead, I am excited for our upcoming all-college meeting in January. During that gathering, I will share an update on the 1-3-5 action pathways that are helping us advance our strategic priorities and build momentum moving forward.

As we enter our winter break, I wish each of you a restful and peaceful time away. May this holiday season bring renewal, joy and connection with those who matter most. Thank you for your dedication, your passion and the many ways you contribute to the success of our students, our college and each other.

With appreciation,

Mary
