Five doctoral students in the Department of Educational Technology, Research and Assessment attended the annual meeting of the American Educational Research Association, held April 13 to 16 in Chicago, thanks to funding from their department.

Ph.D. students Akosua Birogo Poku, Angie Fanuke, Stella Jung, Fortunata Msilu and Jessica Weibler now will share their experiences, and the benefits and opportunities of this type of professional development, with other graduate students.

Olha Ketsman, assistant professor and ETRA GSA faculty advisor, worked with students, the department and AERA Computer and Internet Applications in Education SIG Leadership Team to create the opportunity and facilitate the experience.

Ketsman is grateful to Department Chair Wei-Chen Hung for providing funding for students and to Judy Puskar, Tina Heffernan and Sharif Shahadat for organizational support.
