Reminder: Submit your innovative ideas

Have you ever found yourself thinking, “If only we could do this process this way?” Or, “I wish we offered this program here?” Or, “If we could get access to this resource, it would change the way we support our students?”

There is now a simple way for you to convey your innovative and new ways of thinking to the College Strategic Innovation Team (C-SIT). You don’t have to know all the details, or even determine if it is ultimately feasible; we are just encouraging the sharing of ideas and outside-of-the-box thinking.

C-SIT will review proposals collected via the new “Commitment to Innovation” website to discuss their feasibility; alignment with missions, vision, values and priorities; and the likelihood of positive impacts.

Congratulations to Tony Calderala, academic advisor in the Department of Kinesiology and Physical Education, who is the first person to submit an idea to C-SIT and is the winner of a special gift.

Those who follow in Caledera’s footsteps and submit an Innovative Idea Form by Tuesday, March 15, all are entered in a drawing for a prize.
