Assistant Professor Position – Early Childhood Special Education

The Department of Special and Early Education (SEED) at Northern Illinois University seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor opening in special education with expertise in early childhood special education.

The position will involve:

  • Development and delivery of courses in our early childhood licensure program, teaching the special education approval course sequence.
  • Publishing impactful scholarship and seeking grants in early childhood special education.
  • Service to the department and the field.

The successful candidate will have opportunities to teach and conduct research with faculty across colleges and departments (e.g., Child Development; Communication Disorders; Psychology; Curriculum and Instruction; and other cognate areas) as part of a trans-disciplinary initiative at NIU.
