
Yes, it’s true. We’re losing an hour of sleep this weekend, but I’m looking at the upside: the continuation of more and more minutes of daylight and the official, non-groundhog confirmation that spring is here.
Need another reason to celebrate? My beloved Cubbies open the season Thursday, March 30. That’s just three weeks from tomorrow! Let’s go! Batter up!
So, yes, the mercury is still on its annual roller coaster ride, as it delivers ice and snow between days with encouraging highs in the 50s, but such is price we pay for living in a part of the country with the most beautiful summers and falls.
And this proves that change is good. Change keeps things interesting. Change indicates that we’re evolving, growing and advancing. Change is worth the wait.
With the halfway point of the semester and Spring Break almost upon us, I hope you will find opportunities to rest, relax, read for pleasure, reconnect with people and activities you love, reflect on all you’ve accomplished so far and, ultimately, refresh.
