About 150 seventh-graders from Clinton Rosette Middle School came to an Anderson Hall gym in groups Oct. 19 and Oct. 26 to learn and practice concepts of teamwork.
At the same time, 27 Middle Level Teaching and Learning majors in the MLTL 302 clinical experience course practiced their instructional skills.
The Fall 2022 edition of Project TEAMS: Team-building Experiences and Activities in Middle School, coordinated by Donna Werderich, Megan Gerken, Amanda Baum and Jennifer Johnson challenged the Clinton Rosette students to work together to accomplish their goals.
In one activity, for example, they built structures with wooden blocks based on verbal instructions from classmates who were allowed to see pictures of the final products. In another, they laid on the floor to use their bodies to create numerals such as “10.”
