The Department of Curriculum and Instruction (CI) in the College of Education at Northern Illinois University seeks candidates for a tenure-track assistant professor position in curriculum and instruction.
The position will involve:
- Engaging in publishing scholarly works and seeking external grants in the fields of elementary/middle level teaching and learning, trans-disciplinary curriculum or curriculum leadership.
- Participating in developing innovative undergraduate and graduate teacher education programs and professional development: participate in developing and supporting school-university partnerships;
- Advising doctoral students and directing theses and dissertations.
- Enhancing a campus-like culture for students who enroll in courses off-campus and online.
