Homecoming Day is Saturday, Oct. 22, and your alma mater College of Education faculty want to see you – in person and in photographic memories – during “Huskies through the Decades.”

The Alumni Village tailgate party opens at 11 a.m. outside the Barsema Alumni & Visitors Center, near Huskie Stadium, and we’ll have a table inside the tent.

Our new leadership team – Dean Laurie Elish-Piper and associate deans Pitney and David Walker – are eager to shake your hands, renew old acquaintances or start new ones and hear how you’re putting your NIU degree to work.

wheel-o-prizesYou also can spin our fabulous Wheel of Prizes for your chance to win foam fingers, cup cozies, chip clips, lanyards and more. Honestly, you can’t lose.

Following the tailgate, of course, Coach Rod Carey and the Huskie Football Team kick off at 2:30 p.m. Come cheer for a victory over Buffalo!

Before the big day, though, we hope you’ll provide pictures of your happy times on campus.

NIU’s Alumni Association is inviting all Huskie grads to post photos with the hashtags #NIUHomecoming and their decade (for example, #80s). Your photos might be shared on the alumni association’s social media accounts. Be sure to tag your fellow Huskies!

See you Saturday, Oct. 22! Bring your Huskie Pride!
