College of Education FIT Advantage Program

fitAs a member of the NIU College of Education you are provided with a fantastic health and fitness benefit—the College of Education FIT Advantage Program!  With this benefit, the COE Dean’s office will pay for your first semester membership fee to the NIU FIT Program.  To continue the benefit, all you have to do is workout with FIT 20 times each Fall or Spring semester, or 9 times over the Summer semester.

NIU FIT is a faculty, staff, and community fitness program offered through the Department of Kinesiology & Physical Education.  Membership in FIT Advantage includes access to fitness center facilities in both Anderson Hall and Gabel Hall, a variety of motivating group exercise classes, use of Anderson Pool, fitness assessments, and a personalized exercise prescription. Exercise before your workday, during your lunch hour, or right after work.

You also won’t want to miss FIT Family Swim Nite!  As a FIT Advantage member your children and spouse can swim in Anderson Pool every Thursday 4:45-6:00 p.m.  Must be accompanied by the FIT member.  Infants & Toddlers must have a swim diaper.
