Funding for “Partnership Projects” are again available through the College of Education. The CoE has identified 20 partnership locations where faculty and staff can receive funding to conduct research, perform consulting work, or do professional development depending on mutual interests.
“This is a great opportunity for faculty to gather material for publications and presentations,” said Portia Downey, coordinator of professional development. “We are very excited that there are funds available again. We have had such good luck with partnerships in the past.”
Interested faculty or staff should contact Portia at firstname.lastname@example.org or 753-5072 to obtain a partnership project request form; the required details include a description of the project, the benefit(s) to the partnership district, and the projected measurable outcomes.
“When a faculty or staff member fills out a form, I try and match their research interests to the needs of our district partners,” Downey said. “Our districts will come to us if they need help with their bilingual programs, assessment programs, or technology; there is a wide range of needs that our districts have.”
