The College of Education collected 412 pounds of food and personal hygiene products before the winter break for the Huskies Student Food Pantry – just 88 pounds short of its 500-pound goal. Each of the college’s departments donated to the drive, as did faculty and staff of NIU’s law library. The pantry, which relies on donations and volunteers, strives to provide non-perishable, supplemental food and other necessities for NIU students who are in need of support. Donations will continue to be accepted in the dean’s office (Graham 321) until the 500-pound goal is met. A full list of recommended items is available online.
