Every Friday for the 2015 – 2016 calendar year is now officially Spirit Friday in the College of Education. Everyone is encouraged to show their Huskie Spirit and don an article of NIU “spirit wear” (a piece of clothing or accessory that contains red or has an NIU or COE logo on it. Foam fingers count!). You are more than welcome to decorate your space, but judging will be limited to clothing and accessories only.
Every month a team of judges from the Staff Council will pay a surprise visit to each department in the college to determine which department has “The Most Spirit.” Winners will be selected based on the percentage of SPS and staff participation, plus extra points for participating faculty and others. The winning department will receive a trophy (see left) and a group photo to display for a month, along with bragging rights!
